Trash to Treasure: Old Window Becomes Outdoor Art

Photobucket

More treausres from the basement...My husband helped me paint and hang this old window on our porch.

Neat, hu? We used acrylic paints and a spray varnish to protect it from the weather. It brightens up the porch and adds some privacy. I think it would be lovely to hang something like this, even from a tree branch, at an outdoor wedding or party. It could be used to denote an important space-hanging behind a couple saying vows or creating a 'wall' behind a buffet, favor, gift or dessert table. Anyway, it was a fun little project and made great use of one of the old windows that had been replaced.

This is so pretty and so Asheville. I can't wait to come have a fancy drink on your porch!
