Why I do, what I do...

Studying under my father, whom was a professional photographer, influenced me at a young age and introduced me to the realm of photography. My father taught me to pay attention to the whole image, and forsee the outcome before the technological methods are approached. This advice to capture the eyes of a portrait, and the infinite detail of a product are the initial approach to my development and perfection of a photograph. The technological advancements in the medium are second nature to me. My approach is to make the subject at home in each image, to capture and display the true essence of a subject is the final goal. The energy and passion that I bring to a shoot is evident in the perfection and beauty of the print. My prints are meant to last more than a lifetime, for generations to enjoy.

As you can tell by some of my fine art projects, such as the SQUISH, and FUNK series; I view my subjects with a unique perspective. Whether it be pressing a flower to show the brilliant hues that lie beneath the surface or patiently waiting for the right moment to capture my funky food. I take the same approach and apply a similar style to my portrait and fashion shoots. I understand that most people are timid in front of a lense, yet there are those whom are more outgoing. It is my job, and passion to bring out the best in all that I photograph. Portraits are about you, and creating a unique experience is what drives me to do the best that I can.

A portrait is more than just a snapshot. It does more than capture a person’s image. My meditative approach to photography will capture your essence and emotion.
