Funk, a rotten food abstract photography exhibition, is a
project that I started in 1997. As a bachelor it was very
common for food in the refridgerator to become, well...funky.
One day, I went to throw away some rotten oranges, when I noticed
the white fuzz that was growing on the fruit. I decided to
let the food sit out and rot for a few weeks longer. The
result was a subject that was grapling between the wonderfult
stages of life and death. As the orange was dying, The mold
that was taking over was thriving brilliantly. This project
which then let into peppers, apples and other types of food.
The peppers' shape, when decaying, transforms into a
multidemensional substance and exults almost a sense of
character.
